On October 15th, 2007 Governor Baldacci, the "Chief Executive Officer" of Maine's largest employer, the Maine state government, signed the Working Together Pledge! Read details, watch video footage, and view a photojournal here.


We ask all of our business partners to express their support for the Working Together initiative by signing this simple pledge:

  • "I certify that (company name) commits to the following best employment practices to further the employment of people with disabilities:
  • A commitment to employ individuals with disabilities
  • A commitment to creating a corporate environment that is disability friendly
  • A commitment to a recruiting and hiring process that encourages people with disabilities to apply for posted positions

We further ask our business partners to allow their company logo to be used in promotion materials published by Working Together.
